Turkish Gavurdagi salad recipe
A traditional Turkish salad featuring tomatoes, walnuts, pomegranate molasses and sumac

Make sure you chop all the ingredients for Gavurdagi salad, a Turkish classic, very finely

SERVES
4

INGREDIENTS
6 ripe medium tomatoes, finely chopped
½ small red onion, finely chopped
100g walnuts, roughly chopped
½ cucumber, finely chopped
Seeds from ½ pomegranate
A handful of radishes
3 tbsp pomegranate molasses
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Turkish red chilli flakes
1 heaped tsp sumac
A squeeze of lemon
3 ice cubes

METHOD
Combine all the ingredients and season to taste. Just before serving, sit a few ice cubes on top.
